MIDAS is a partnership first. A football institute, a technology summit, a university, an investor network and a sports innovation platform have come together to build one room, and we are proud of that. Hosted by the International Football Institute in Munich, organised with Sports Tech Nation, and built with TU Dublin, ThinkSport and EBAN Sports. Five organisations from research, industry, investment and sport, which is the mix MIDAS exists to bring together.
Universities, research groups and institutes bring the work that the rest of the room wants to see. Academic partners shape the programme, put their researchers on stage and connect their students and labs to clubs and companies.
The practitioners are why everyone else comes. Club and federation partners bring their performance and data staff, their questions and their cases, and get first sight of what is coming from the labs and the startups.
Companies building AI for sport join the programme. Industry partners take a spotlight on stage in front of the whole room and are visible alongside the founding partners.
Investor groups, accelerators and networks bring the capital side of the second day and their communities with them. They help shape the commercialization track and meet the founders and researchers in one room.
