MIDAS is looking for talks and workshop proposals from researchers, club and federation practitioners, founders and investors, in any of the four tracks. The room is small and the audience is expert, so we are after work that is new, that has been tried against real sport, and that the people in the room can use. The programme committee reads every submission.
Work that turns cameras and sensors into performance data a club can act on: skeleton tracking, pose estimation, multi-camera and broadcast-feed systems, and validation against what the sport actually needs. We are especially interested in what runs reliably outside a controlled setup, in results from real training grounds and competitions, and in honest accounts of what did not work.
How a club or federation builds the data architecture underneath its AI: integrating tracking, event, physical and medical data from several providers, ownership and governance of that data, and where language models fit into an analytics or coaching workflow today. Cases from inside a performance department are as welcome as research.
The path from research to product to buyer. Founders on what it took to get a first federation, league or club to pay; buyers on what they procure and why pilots stall; investors on what they are backing in performance and data now. Startup spotlights are selected from this track.
Whether the tools discussed over the two days are trustworthy, fair and interoperable at scale. Regulation including the EU AI Act, athlete data rights, standards and interoperability between vendors, and accountability when a model gets it wrong. Talks that challenge the other three tracks are welcome.
Talks and workshop proposals. Tell us which you have in mind; the committee will confirm the slot and length with accepted speakers.
30 October 2026. Proposals are reviewed as they arrive, and all submitters hear back after the deadline.
The programme committee: Dr Anselm Küchle (International Football Institute), Dr Steffen Lang (FC Augsburg), Dr Kieran Collins (TU Dublin) and Iddo Diamant (Colosseum Sport), advised by EBAN Sports and ThinkSport.
Accepted speakers receive a pass for both MIDAS days. Travel and accommodation are the speaker's own; ask us if that is a barrier.
A title, an abstract of a few paragraphs, and who you are. If it is a workshop, say what the room will do in it. We will confirm receipt by email.
